Napo & the art of deciding
Designed to help you make your next study decisions without feeling overwhelmed
challenge
Choosing a European business school means navigating hundreds of websites, comparing curricula, cities, lifestyles, extracurriculars, and rankings. The entire experience is designed for institutions, not for people.
How can we simplify that so it's not an overwhelming experience? Not by reducing the options, but by asking the right questions first. The challenge was to build a functional, user-tested product in a single academic semester with a small team, limited resources, and real users from day one.
my role
methodology
We used Scrum and Agile to structure the team and build an initial product backlog, running sprints to develop the chatbot's core features, keeping scope tight and iteration fast.
I led the development of Napo (named after Napoleon, since we were in a French business school) using an AI chatbot agent platform integrated with ChatGPT. This allowed the chatbot to give updated, context-aware responses to user queries rather than relying on static data.
Beyond the technical build, I designed the visual identity for both the brand and the chatbot itself using Gemini Pro, wrote the conversational content and interaction flows using Miro, and ensured the user journey felt like talking to a knowledgeable friend, not filling out a form. I also conducted user testing with students to ensure the experience was smooth and easy for different audiences.
