challenge

Explore solutions to convert high-technology B2B products into B2C offerings for smart homes over the next 10 years within a consortium of tech players in France.

my role

→Acted as an end-to-end innovation consultant and designer, providing potential solutions to the challenge we faced.
→Responsible for creating the final artifact by assembling the contributions of our team of 6 members, including my own.
→Acted as the project manager, setting the timeline and format for our deliverables to ensure consistency across the group.
→Performed as the ceremony master during our presentation to a board of managers and partners from the consortium.

methodology

To make these future scenarios feel tangible, we used Design Fiction methodology. Rather than producing a conventional report, we chose to create a website inspired by the aesthetic of an IKEA-style catalog.

To create the solutions I proposed, I analyzed sci-fi narratives, conducted macro-trend research, and did interviews with stakeholders to design speculative scenarios that felt authentic.

For the website creation, I used Figma Make to design the interactive website that presented the fictional universe and coordinated the visual storytelling across every piece of the catalog.

outcomes

→Featured in L'Express Education.
→High-fidelity prototype as final artifact.
→Five collections of fictional smart-home products, each showcasing a unique future relationship with our living spaces, including the 'Functional House' and 'Conscious House,' totaling 14 products.
→Sparked conversations about consumer strategy, ethics, privacy, and utility in smart homes in the future.
